Allegiant Airlines is a low cost carrier that operates domestically in the US. It also has the ability to charter flights in Canada and Mexico. Allegiant offers inexpensive tickets to many locations in the US. However, like the other budget airlines Frontier, and Spirit, there are several factors to consider in order to keep that cost low. After finishing our Allegiant Air Review, we believe they could be an excellent low cost alternative.
Allegiant Air Review: Where they fly to.
Allegiant fly’s to many locations domestically, check out the interactive map available on their website to see what flights go where. One factor to think about is how often flights depart from specific terminals. For example, flights only go between (Albuquerque, NM) and (Austin, TX) twice a week on Sundays and Thursdays.
Online check-in is available from 24 hours up to 45 minutes before departure. You can check-in and print on their main website or use their app downloadable here. Checking in with an agent adds $5 to our fees.

Baggage Info and Fees
This is was one of their weird things we found in the Allegiant Air Review, unlike some airlines, Allegiant baggage fees can actually change depending on the flight. However, they are generally much cheaper. To take advantage of savings you will have to know how much luggage you need at the time of booking. Allegiant offers a useful tool to calculate your luggage cost available here.
Allegiant does include one personal item per person for free. If you wait until the airport to pay for your extra baggage you will end up spending significantly more.
